These are pastel paintings and measure in the main 75x55 cms. The artist, Alex Saunderson trained at Colchester school of art and is inspired by the sudden shifts of light on landscape, especially before rainfall. He has shown his work recently at The Millinery works gallery,The Curwen gallery and David Mach Studios.

He has an exhibition coming up at Gallery 54 in Shepherds Market, Mayfair from 16th Nov to 22nd 2010 where most recent paintings will be on show.
